Minutes of the executive committee meeting held at Eye department, Govt. medical college, Chandigarh. On 16.04.2006 at 11:00 hrs Dr. K.P. Chaudhary, President NZOS chaired the meeting.   1). Minutes of the executive committee meeting held at Palampur on 14.10.2005 were approved unanimously. 2). It was decided that the 20th annual conference at Chandigarh will be held at     The BHARGAWA AUDITORIUM, P.G.I. on 28th & 29th of October, 2006.      - Dr. Jagat Ram will be the organizing secretary & Dr. G.S. Brar will be the treasurer.      - Registration fee will be Rs. 1000/- for the members, Rs. 1200/- for non-members &        Rs. 500/- for junior residents.      - Inauguration will be on 28th Oct., 2006 at 9:00 am. 3). The scientific programme will include      - Symposium on Paediatric Opthalmology.      - Instruction courses will be on F.F.A., open globe injuries and pre-perimetric        evaluation of glaucoma. These will be held on 27th of October 2006 from 17.00 hrs        to 19.00 hrs and on 29th of October from 8.30 hrs to 9.30 hrs.      - Quiz for junior residents (team of two students from each medical college) will be        organized by Dr. S.P.S. Grewal on 29th of October from 12.30 hrs to 13.30 hrs.      - For Dr. Prem Chandra award two/three separate judges will be appointed. They will        observe all eligible free papers to decide the best paper. The list of judges will        include equal number of evaluators / judges from all the member states &        Chandigarh.      - Dr. R.N. Bhatnagar was delivered a cheque worth Rs. 5565/- towards the expenses        incurred by him till the Palampur conference. 4). Dr. S.K. Sharma's account were accepted with a correction that he has to deposit      Rs. 60,000/- to the NZOS. NZOS will bear the expenses totaling Rs. 23,000/-      incurred on the two guest speakers. Dr. Sharma agreed to send an additional amount      of Rs. 7,000/- to NZOS. 5). Report of the Editor journal was approved.      - A payment of Rs. 10,000/- for the year 2005 and the payment of Rs. 20,000/- for the        year 2006 was handed to Dr. Sudesh Arya.      - It was also decided that the yearly payment of Rs. 20,000/- should be handed over        to the Editor journal during the mid term executive committee meeting to avoid any        financial problems as explained by Dr. S. Arya. 6). It was decided that the website should be maintained and a new contract be signed      by Dr. G.S. Bajwa. 7). The list of members to whom the journal has been delivered by the Syntho Company      should be given to Dr. S. Arya after every issue of the journal. 8). The information about the filing of the return and the PAN no will be published by      Dr. G.S. Bajwa from the C.A. at Ludhiana.   Meeting ended  with thanks to Dr. Jagat Ram the President of Chandigarh   opthalmological society for organizing the mid term meeting.
